Dr. Kyaw, also known as "Dr. K" by most of his patients, is an American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology certified Psychiatrist with an additional training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He graduated from Institute of Medicine (1), Rangoon, Burma in 1988. He then completed his General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry training at the Los Angeles County-USC.

Dr. Kyaw has been in private practice in Upland area since 2002, providing psychiatric care to children, adolescents, adults and seniors. He is also working as a Mental Health Psychiatrist for the Los Angeles County and has treated mentally ill Juvenile Offenders in the Central Juvenile Hall since 2002.

Aside from his clinical work, Dr. Kyaw enjoys teaching medical students and psychiatric resident physicians from the Keck School of Medicine athte University of Southern California as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Psychiatry since 2005.

Dr. Kyaw is a dedicated member of the psychiatric community, serving as an elected board member of the Southern California Psychiatric Society since 2004. He has also served as an active member in Psychotropic Medication Committee & Continue Medical Education Committee of Department of Mental Health, county of Los Angeles since 2002.
